    HILTON TARRANT: Hello, good evening and welcome to the SAfm Market Update with Moneyweb. Hilton Tarrant in for Alec Hogg this Wednesday evening.
        News today of a mystery R415m accounts error that troubled African Dawn. Barry Sergeant joins us with the details.

    In the business news headlines today gold hit record highs above $1095/oz, and dollar weakness added to momentum lent to the market by India's central bank purchase of 200 tons of gold from the IMF. Traders say gold's ability to rally to record highs despite dollar strength yesterday has cheered the market.
        The infamous ex-Fidentia head office located at 1 Waterford Place in Century City in Cape Town has been sold, auctioneer Alliance Group says. The property has been sold to an international buyer for R36.75m.
        Absa Group chief executive Maria Ramos has been appointed to the Barclays Group executive committee with immediate effect in a restructuring announced by Barclays CEO John Varley. Ramos, who remains at Absa will now report directly to Varley.
        A nominal year-on-year house price inflation has resumed with price growth of 2.6% recorded in October compared to the same month last year, according to Absa's house price index. Taking account of inflation, real year-on-year house price deflation slowed to 4.6%, from a decline of 6% in August.
