Group Five sees higher FY earnings

Shares rise almost 7%.

Shares of South African construction company Group Five jumped on Wednesday, after it said full-year earnings were expected to rise between 40 and 50%.

This is in part because its African businesses and leading position in the domestic water and power sectors have offset a weak local building market.

Its shares were 6.71% higher at R39.90.
