South Africa’s manufacturing production expanded more than expected by 3.8% year-on-year in March after a revised 0.4% contraction in February, Statistics South Africa said on Tuesday. On a month-on-month basis, factory output was up 1.2%, but fell by 0.6% in the three months to March, compared with the previous three months.
