RMB key in Botswana’s largest private equity deal

A closer look at the acquisition of retailer and consumer goods company Kamoso.

Kamoso, a Botswana-based retailer and consumer goods company, was acquired by a consortium that includes RMB Ventures, Investec Africa Private Equity, local partners, and Kamoso’s senior management team.

The transaction is believed to be Botswana’s largest ever private-equity investment. Ewan Gray, private equity transactor at Rand Merchant Bank, speaks to Moneyweb journalist Prinesha Naidoo about this acquisition.
