The Moneyweb Investor competition has been won by a Johannesburg-based husband and wife team who are regular Moneyweb readers.
Technically the competition was won by Zehira Barday (35), however she and husband Furqaan Desai are claiming it as a joint celebration as both individuals entered the competition.
Moneyweb Investor offered readers the chance of winning R5 000 in cash if they answered four questions correctly. The questions were drawn from the February issue of the digi-magazine.
According to Desai (36), the R5 000 will not be used to subsidise their DStv fee hike and other cost of living increases. Instead it will be invested directly into the families’ property unit trusts.
Desai is a fan of property unit trusts at the moment, believing this is an investment that will continue to outpace inflation, while delivering an attractive dividend yield.
