South African miner Exxaro Resources said on Tuesday it expects half-yearly earnings to double, benefitting from its part-owned Sishen iron ore asset and the sale of some investments.

Exxaro forecast headline earnings, a closely watched measure of profit for South African companies, to be between R26.32 and R27.92 per share in the six months ended June 30.
