JSE Share Code: NFEVAL
(‘NewFunds Value Equity ETF’ or the ‘Portfolio’)
A Portfolio under the NewFunds Collective Investment Scheme in Securities (‘NewFunds’) registered as such in terms
of the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, 45 of 2002 and managed by NewFunds (RF) Proprietary Limited
(Registration Number 2005/034899/07) (the ‘Manager’).
INDEX REBALANCING TIMING CHANGE
Each listed portfolio in NewFunds comprises of a separate exchange traded fund (‘ETF’) which seeks to track the
performance of a specified index of securities as specified in the Main Deed as approved by the Financial Services
The NewFunds Value Equity ETF is registered with the FSCA to track the Absa/NewFunds Wits Risk-controlled SA
Value Index (the ‘Index’). The Index, which is calculated and administered by S&P Dow Jones Indices (Pty) Ltd
(‘S&P’), currently has a bi-annual rebalance frequency performed at the end of February and August each year, as
specified in the rulebook. The Index and Risk Committee (the ‘Committee’) has identified the need to align the bi
annual rebalance timeline to May and November due to the availability of more recent earnings and book value
information in relation to the JSE Limited (‘JSE’) Listings Requirements. The Committee’s decision to adjust the
rebalance frequency is supported by S&P and will be effective immediately. The portfolio will therefore rebalance in
May and has been approved by the JSE.
Investors are therefore advised of the changes effective immediately. No Investors will be prejudiced by the change,
nor are the rights of the Investors altered. Investors are hereby notified of the change which is effective immediately.
