I trust all Moneyweb Today readers have had a very peaceful Festive Season and managed to take a bit of a break. We all needed it, as 2014 wasn’t a year for the faint hearted.
I am sure we all hope that 2015 will see a reversal in fortunes, not only on the political economic front, but also in the overall mindset of the average South African. We are a positive nation, but at the end of last year very few people managed to sell the positive South African story.
Now for some good news: the daily publication of Moneyweb Today resumes and will continue to inform its trusted readership of the daily business developments in South Africa and abroad.
Moneyweb and our partners have exciting plans for the publication this year, which will make the content and functionality even more compelling.
The growth of the publication has exceeded all expectations. Since our very low-key launch in April 2014 we have attracted a daily readership in excess of 30 000 readers. We hope to grow the readership to more than 100 000 this year through more investment in unique content and data features. Keep an eye out for these developments.
I trust 2015 will be a better year. We need it. Change is as good as a holiday, so hopefully the change in the date will allow South Africans to start the year with a better mindset.
