‘Afrika se Amazon’ noteer in New York

Die Nigeriese e-handel platform Jumia wat verlede maand in New York genoteer is, is gou deur die media die Amazon van Afrika gedoop. Die maatskappy wat teen R14.50 per aandeel genoteer het, se aandeelprys het in minder as ‘n maand met 100% gestyg. Maar tog beskou sommige kortverkopers Jumia as ‘n bedrogspul. Jean Pierre Verster, ‘n portefeuljebestuurder van Fairtree Capital gesels met Inge Lamprecht oor die maatskappy en hoekom daar so groot belangstelling in die maatskappy is.
