How South Africans rate the ‘big five’ banks

Loyalty points, customer rewards will take on a fresh approach.

According to the latest South African Customer Satisfaction Index for Banking Products, customers are increasingly seeing little difference between banking products and that bank brand loyalty appears to be declining.

The banking landscape is likely to be even more shaken with three new digital banks expected to be offering their products during this year, with TymeBank already formally launched. However, Capitec still remains a firm favourite. To break down the Customer Satisfaction Index, Professor Adre Schreuder, the founder of the South Africa Customer Satisfaction Index, speaks with Nompu Siziba.
