There’s been increasing pressure from opposition parties for President Cyril Ramaphosa to accept finance minister Nhlanhla Nene’s offer to step down over undisclosed meetings with the infamous Gupta family. 

Chief economist and director at Econometrix, Dr Azar Jammine, says Nene is a good man, but that he should step down because he lied to South Africa. He talks to Classic Business Breakfast with Moneyweb about the economic implications of Nene stepping down and possible replacements.
