South African production sectors has laggard start to the year

Load shedding to further impact one of the economy’s most vital sectors.

Manufacturing was up 0.3% on a yearly basis, but down 0.2% month on month, Stats SA data has revealed. This, Dennis Dykes, the chief economist at Nedbank, notes was not a great start to the year. He discusses the economy’s production numbers with Nompu Siziba.
