Unions raise concern over jobs to be lost at Bosasa

Should government intervene to avoid job losses?

A number of unions have raised concern over the job losses that will take place at Bosasa due to the company’s liquidation.

The Financial Sector & Allied Workers Union of South Africa (Fawusa) says Bosasa’s application for liquidation is just an excuse to cover up the corruption which took place at the company. The union says it is not convinced about the banks’ reasons  for closing the company’s accounts.

Onkabetse Moagi, national chairperson at Fawusa  says the union is happy that the truth has come out about Bosasa but that it’s unfortunate that it will cost people their jobs.
