Eskom lost R16bn in 2019/20 – Treasury

State-owned power utility Eskom made a loss of R16 billion in the 2019/20 financial year, compared to R20 billion in the previous year, the National Treasury said in a presentation to lawmakers on Wednesday.

Do they count that R4 billion not lost as profit? At this rate Eskom will make no loss in 4 years time? Brilliant.

this reminds me of coming back to work after an Xmas holiday and everyone was complaining about how much weight they had gained. One very fat friend said he had actually lost 4 kg.

He had expected to pick up 10 kg but only picked up 6 kg.

Could probably have built 50 000 little houses with that and created some real jobs.
