Eskom says chairman to give ‘status’ update

Power utility may sell some of its assets to raise capital to upgrade its ageing infrastructure.

Cash-strapped Eskom may sell some of its assets to raise capital to upgrade its ageing infrastructure and boost power supply in Africa’s most advanced economy, Chief Executive Tshediso Matona said last week.
