South Africa‘s struggling state power utility Eskom said it will cut up to 2,000 megawatts of power from the national grid on Thursday due to a shortage of generating capacity.
Eskom said in an announcement made on Twitter that the power cuts would occur from 4 pm to 11 pm.

How exciting I can run my genny. Reminds me of when I had an old diesel generator on the farm.

Looks like Eskom is offering a belated Black Friday special:
“Get TWO Load-shedding events for the price of ONE!”
(…so long our beloved friends at SARS/Treasury will also take into consideration that less income will be generated by business for the 2020 tax year, thus we trust SARS’ future collection targets are realistic in line with this country, that’s slowly becoming a shadow of its former self?).
