Senior African National Congress official Ace Magashule lost an application for leave to appeal a judgment that affirmed his suspension from South Africa’s ruling party.

“We concluded that there is no prospect that another court would come to a different conclusion, nor are there any compelling reasons why leave to appeal should be granted,” according to a High Court judgment handed down on Monday.

The ruling African National Congress suspended Magashule, the party’s secretary-general, in May after he defied an ultimatum to vacate the post while he stands trial on graft and other charges. Magashule has repeatedly challenged President Cyril Ramaphosa’s authority and been linked to an ANC faction aligned to former President Jacob Zuma, who the party forced to step down in 2018 after he became embroiled in a succession of scandals.

Magashule’s corruption case is scheduled to resume on Oct. 19.

Good now lock him up and throw away the keys.

This ones foundation has students in Turkey that he has not provided for. These Foundations, like JG Zuma, Ace M etc are just a way of stealing from the stupid donors. Audit all these foundations.

Sure. He’ll be in jail for about a week until he contracts some mysterious illness that books him a room in a private hospital, etc etc

Think we all know how it goes from here

No problem. He can hire Carl Niehaus who is also a vagrant now, and the two of them can buy a second-hand Datsun bakkie, sponsored with a grant for black industrialists from the DTI, and operate an asbestos removal business in the Free State. They already have all the contacts.

John Hlophe and Arthur Fraser are working on a plan to sabotage this decision. Recent history has shown how easy this is to do. Perhaps it can be done in time for the national elections.

and Cyril will put his stamp of approval on this decision.

End of comments.
