Multiple failure at Hendrina plant won’t trigger blackouts – Eskom

Following a ‘multi unit trip’.

South Africa‘s ailing state power firm Eskom said its 2,000 megawatt Hendrina Power Station had suffered a “multi unit trip” on Monday, but that the failure would not lead to the nationwide electricity cuts it implemented last week.

“This trip, while unfortunate, does not impact our status at this point, as we have sufficient emergency reserves. We can confirm that no load shedding is expected today,” the utility said on its twitter page.

And just how often does this happen? It never happens. This is a unique event. How about telling the people that are the victims a little more background information. It is so far fetched that even the official story teller cannot dream something up to explain.
How about spooks. Most everyone know all about spooks. They will understand tokoloshe.
It must be time to employ a resident sangoma at every station.
Maybe the cabinet would feel safer with one too.

Simply too few employees….clearly understaffed.

I could not agree more clearly Eskoms staff needs to double.

…perhaps even triple the staff count! The more people, the more the combined knowledge 😉
