SA plans emergency pipeline for Hazelmere Dam

Measures will transfer between 8 million and 12 million liters of water to the dam.

South Africa, experiencing its worst drought since 1992, will build an emergency pipeline and temporary pump station to transfer water to the Hazelmere Dam near Durban.

The measures will transfer between 8 million and 12 million liters of water from the uThongathi river to the dam, the Department of Water and Sanitation said in a statement on Tuesday.
