Data from laboratory studies show Johnson & Johnson’s Covid-19 vaccine works well against the Delta variant that now dominates new infections in South Africa, the head of the country’s Medical Research Council said on Friday.

“All the data that we see indicate good immediate and sustained immune response against Delta, and we see surprising durability in the immune response for the single dose J&J right up to eight months,” Glenda Gray told a news conference.

lol…mrc reminds one of mrc of pre 1994…prejudiced research giving prejudiced results. In a pandemic the aim is to prevent deaths and not a cure. Its elitist and doesnt care for the rest of the citizens lives.
Other countries of the world realised this and vaccinated its citizens en mass 7 days a week whereas south africa is pussyfooting, playing politics
and self interest. The delta(indian) virus hit hard increasing the death rate.If you were a medical doctor doing this you would be disbarred and jailed for negligence.
