South African Airways (SAA), the embattled state-owned carrier, said it has made a number of new appointments as it implements a turnaround strategy.

Bob Head is acting as chief financial officer from this week while Hendus Venter takes on the role of chief information officer next month, having joined from African Bank, SAA said in an emailed statement on Thursday. Pumla Luhabe joined as chief commercial officer in February, according to SAA.

South African labor union Solidarity said earlier on Thursday it would approach the High Court to have SAA placed under administration. The airline’s Chief Executive Officer Vuyani Jarana said in March the cash-strapped carrier will probably break even in 2020 after its net loss widened more than threefold to R5.6 billion ($467 million) in the 2017 financial year.

Now Myeni has gone and they are cleaning up the corruption, I will start supporting SAA again.

It is a pity Zuma will never accept, acknowledge, understand or apologise for the damage he has done.

End of comments.
