Schwarzenegger struck by flying kick at South Africa sports event

Assailant caught by security.

A man struck Arnold Schwarzenegger with a flying kick at a sports event in South Africa on Saturday, though the actor and former California governor later reassured fans that they needn’t worry about him.

Schwarzenegger, 71, was chatting with fans at the Arnold Classic Africa, an event showcasing body-building and other sports, in Johannesburg when he was kicked from behind.

“There is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot,” the star of the “Terminator” films wrote on Twitter, thanking fans for their concern.

“I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.”

A video of the incident posted by Schwarzenegger showed he was not felled by the kick.

The assailant was quickly restrained by a security guard.

This not a nice thing to experience. I hope the kicker is dealt with.however i get the funny side, hahaha the guy kicked the terminator, it must have been some sort of dare.

If you find anything remotely funny in kicking a 71 year old man in the back, you need to take a serious look at yourself. This is yet another example of how Africa deals with sponsors and those who truly wish to invest in the future of the children. A kick in the back. A criminal act which the police will not deign to investigate. What is next? Murdered people must first lay a complaint?

It wasn’t a very good kick. Arnold thought it was a bump from the crowd. The ultimate insult to the kicker was that Arnold is not pressing charges.

Shameful. Mrs Sisulu must apologize on behalf of an embarrassed South Africa
