Specialists appointed to try to rescue South African Airways (SAA) asked creditors on Friday for a two-month extension for a plan for the struggling state-owned airline because of the coronavirus outbreak.

Specialists Les Matuson and Siviwe Dongwana asked creditors in a letter seen by Reuters to approve an extension for the publication of the plan until May 29. They added that coronavirus would accentuate the need for urgent cost-cutting measures, such as possible layoffs.

Extension denied. SAA had months to come up with a plan. Now they pull Corona in as a excuse. With Corona over your heads the writing is on the wall SAA.

All they re extending is their own income !!!
SAA Is dead / Kaput .
Just bury it ASAP

What a bunch of jokers

All the top airlines are busy laying off thousands of workers due to the Coranavirus – and our liquidators want to discuss it – obviously well paid – buying time

The airline is done – all weak airlines in the world are now on the scrap heap – which part of the equation do we not understand

Flying will not be normal for at least 3 – 6 months !!

End of comments.
