RECM and Calibre to underwrite DAWN Rights Offer  

RAC will underwrite the DAWN rights offer up to a maximum value of R201 million at a price of R1 per share resulting in a potential subscription by RAC for a 33.9% shareholding in DAWN.

Transaction Capital – results of accelerated bookbuild

 The company has successful raised R418.9 million through an accelerated bookbuild process issuing 28 400 000 new shares at a R14.75 per share. 

Sea Harvest to list on the JSE

Brimstone subsidiary Sea Harvest plans to list on the main board of the JSE in March 2017 under the Food and Beverage sector. The company envisages a capital raise of up to R1.5 billion prior to listing. 

Ecsponent issues additional preference shares

Ecsponent has, under its R5 billion preference share programme, issued additional preference shares valued at R17 million.

Exercise of Warrants in Jubilee Platinum  

The company has received notification from a warrant holder to exercise 4 500 000 existing warrants at R0.5358 per warrant share.

Listing of additional NewGold debentures

NewGold has issued an additional 7 600 000 debentures at an average issue price of R157.00 per debenture. After the additional issue there will be 117 577 939 debentures in issue.

Listing of additional NewFunds GOVI ETFs

550 000 additional NewFunds GOVI ETFs were listed this week at an average issue price of R53.12 per security. After listing, there will be 8 425 000 participatory interests in issue.

Satrix to list two new portfolio participatory interests

Satrix Collective Investment Scheme is to list two new portfolios on the JSE on February 24. Satrix ILBI will provide exposure to the S&P South African Sovereign Inflation-Linked Bond 1+ Year Index while the Satrix Property Portfolio will provide exposure to a modifies capitalisation variation of the S&P South African Composite Property Index.

Delisting of Gooderson Leisure

The company delisted on February 7 following the successful acquisition by ALJU Family Trust of the remaining shares held by minority shareholders. 

Listing of additional NewFunds Shari’ah ETF securities

1 500 000 additional Sari’ah ETF securities were listed on February 8 at an issue price of R3.18 per security. After listing, there will be 23 575 446 securities in issue.

Listing of additional CSEW40 securities

40 000 additional CSEW40 securities were issued and listed at an issue price of R49.40 per security. Following the listing there will be 6 540 000 securities in issue. 

Listing of additional CoreShares Top 50 securities

510 000 additional CoreShares Top 50 securities have been issued and listed on February 3 at an issue price of R21.10 per security.

Listing of additional DivTrax securities

50 000 additional DivTrax securities were issued and listed on February 7 at an issue price of R28.30 per security. Following the listing there will be 4 510 000 securities in issue.

Listing of additional PrefTrax securities

150 000 additional PrefTrax securities were issued and listed on February 8 at an issue price of R9.35 per security. Following the listing there will be 44 325 000 securities in issue.

Listing of additional CoreShares S&P 500 securities

160 693 CSP500 securities were issued this week at an average issue price of R31.15 per security. After the securities have been issued and listed, there will be 6 511 900 securities in issue.

Eight companies issued profit warning announcements

The following companies issued profit warnings this week: Hospitality, Astral Foods, DRDGold, ArcelorMittal South Africa, Torre Industries, MTN, Metair Investments and Bell Equipment.

Ten companies either issued, renewed or withdrew cautionaries

The following companies advised shareholders: Distribution and Warehousing Network, Keaton Energy, Wescoal, Hulisani, Allied Electronics, Bonatla Property, Middle East Diamond Resources, Basil Read, Trencor and Fairvest Property.
