An earthquake has caused damaged to buildings in Australia’s second most-populous city, Melbourne.

The magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck 38 kilometers south of Mount Buller in the country’s south east, according to the US Geological Survey. The quake was at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The earthquake is the country’s biggest in five years, Geoscience Australia data show.

Video footage emerged on Twitter showing building rubble on Melbourne’s Chapel St, a popular restaurant and nightclub area about 5 kilometers southeast of the central business district.

And just when government banned any construction for two weeks. A sign perhaps?

In the light of the protests recently by the anti-vaxers, a sign perhaps?

XD

Nope, I’m very sorry to inform all my Aussie mates….this seismic event was likely caused by a secret Chinese underwater nuclear test within your coastal Economic Exclusion Zone!

The first of a series of Chinese underwater blasts. Anticipate aftershocks.

End of comments.
