I was just espousing the benefits of an assault rifle in the hands of a highly trained and motivated infantryman. You have a better solution ?

There is just a security cluster fluster with the ANC.
There is no security and no policing – just corruption and looting.
Aloota continua

Perhaps there is potential benefit if the Security Clukster can start identifying the Zuma era appointees, and assuming they are a problem in this situation, and replacing them with anti-Zuma, pro law and order capability until their status can be proven otherwise.
Maybe the identified felons doing social media instigation should actually be detained (minus cellphones) instead of just talking about it. But of course, if you are pro Zuma then just talk about it.
But overall the Security Cluster has so far completed endless interviews and made endless chatter whilst the anarchists and their thieving hordes shuttle about doing their thing with total and absolute freedom. Not many more warehouse and shopping centres left to loot and burn, so it should eventually die down when no more left.

i watched this… was a bit funny … when he said rioters are not looting police stations
The irony….
One side of the screen the Minister of State Security and Police saying things are under control….
The other side of the same screen…… blatant STEALING.

Doubtful if these people know what is going on.
They need to contact the UN very quickly and get international help.
These people doing the briefing are lying through it’s teeth.

These guys just look totally out of their depth.
Where is the tear gas? Why are the police just standing back and watching the looters?
They are watching social media for incitement of violence, and there is Malema calling for it. You just know he will do this with impunity.
The Zuma crowd? Not one voice condemning the looting. Not one. Well, as if we didn’t know what they stood for, we do now.

‘Let them eat cake’

Please, NO Army!
Their vehicles are generally LARGER than that of the SAPS, so it means MORE cargo space available for looted goods.

They don’t inspire confidence whatsoever. Business are better off deploying private security.

Unfortunately Gereral Cele is simply not up to the job and neither are his 300+ overpaid, incapable and obese gaggle of wannabee generals.
Call back General Fivaz(all is forgiven) , give him a free reign and this mess created by ANC supporters can go away

These people are useless.
