Moneyweb has appointed Suren Naidoo as its new deputy editor.
Naidoo has been a senior Moneyweb journalist since 2019. He has covered critical developments in several industries, including the property, retail, and tourism sectors.
Before joining Moneyweb, Naidoo was the business editor of The Mercury in KwaZulu-Natal. He was also an entrepreneur and a media manager in the public relations industry.
“Suren is an experienced and respected journalist and an invaluable member of the Moneyweb team. He is the ideal candidate to lead the news team and to ensure that Moneyweb remains the country’s leading business, financial and investment content hub, says Ryk van Niekerk, Moneyweb’s editor.
“Moneyweb’s pedigree as a pioneering and trusted online financial news source goes back more than two decades. I have always been a fan, and this is a great opportunity to contribute to the further growth of the Moneyweb brand,” says Naidoo.
He will assume the role from July 1.
