Administrators at national airline South African Airways (SAA) received R1.3 billion ($85.36 million) from the Department of Public Enterprises last week, a spokeswoman for the administrators said on Wednesday.

The money would be used to pay accepted and signed voluntary severance packages, employees who accepted a three-month back pay deal, and post-commencement creditors, spokeswoman Louise Brugman said.

Throwing the billions around but no money for a vaccine !! Figures

Just madness in time when people are dying like flies all around us! This Government haven’t a clue how to do business and have no regard to taxpayers’monies and what they should be used for. Our Parliamentary system is also flawed in that such actions cannot be halted by them. But the lack of resistance from the majority shows you the stranglehold the Unions have in this country. The Black Middle Class are also very quiet. It is quite exasperating!
