The funds return to date has been very good and the fund has been a good performer in its sector over the last twelve months. This fund is a medium risk fund most suited for investors who want long term inflation beating returns. Most investors who invest in this fund are retired or living annuity clients. We would caution that its harder and harder to find value in the market. Most of our managers are of the same view that the market has become over bought and it's the consensus view that the market is pricing in growth that is not achievable. The over valuation driven by traders and momentum investors could lead to disappointment in the short term. We do not expect a collapse in the market from these levels, a decent correction would enable us to increase our equity exposure, we will remain patient and wait for better buying opportunities.
The objective of this portfolio is to provide steady long term capital growth. The manager will seek to follow an investment policy which will reflect a spread of investments aiming at income and capital growth normally associated with the investment structure of a retirement annuity. The portfolio will invest in unit trusts investing in equities, cash, fixed income and property.
